Analysis of open tracking data, 03, data of DEBS 2013

In this article, introduced is open tracking data of DEBS 2013.

Mutschler et al.(2013) describes this data set precisely.

However, this data set cannot be downloaded from this original site.

One can download this data set from another site described in German. (Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits)

HEAD and TAIL of the data set.

For precise description on DEBS 2013, please read the original site.

DEBS 2013 opens tracking data of a mini game.

A half coat, (7 field players + 1 goalkeeper) x 2 + 1 referee, and 1st and 2nd halves are 30 minutes.

One can confirm this game with movie files downloaded from the German site.

Around the middle of this page, there are links of the data set, the movie files, and other files.

Tracking data are obtained from sensors on foots and in balls.

Tracking data of the players and of the referee are obtained in 200 Hz, and those in the balls are in 2000 Hz.

GKs have sensors on the hands, too.

The content of the data is `sid, ts, x, y, z, |v|, |a|, vx, vy, vz, ax, ay, az',

  • where sid is a sensor ID,
  • ts is a timestamp in picoseconds,
  • x, y, z describe the position of the sensor in mm
  • |v| is in μm/s, vx, vy, and vz are vector direction of the velocity with size of 10,000,
  • |a| is in μm/s^2, ax, ay, and az are vector direction of the absolute acceleration.

The above image shows head and tail of the data set.

Data size is big, 4 GB.

A gzipped file is 1.7 GB.
